FIRST DO NO HARM:

Illness is a purposeful process of the body. The process of healing includes the generation of symptoms. As a Naturopath & Herbalist I use therapeutic actions that are complementary to and synergistic with the body's natural healing process. Therefore, methods designed to suppress symptoms without removing the underlying causes are harmful and to be avoided.

 

THE HEALING POWER OF NATURE:

Our bodies have the amazing inherent ability to establish, maintain and restore health.

My role as a Naturopath & Herbalist is to facilitate this process, to identify and remove obstacles to health and recovery and to establish and restore a healthy internal and external environment.

 

IDENTIFY AND TREAT THE CAUSE:

Illness does not occur without a cause. During your consultation with me I will discover and address these underlying causes of disease and help you to remove them, so that you will be able to recover from illness. 

 

HEAL THE WHOLE PERSON:

Health and disease are conditions of the whole organism. My aim as a Naturopath & Herbalist is to treat the whole person. The harmonious functioning of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects are essential to recovery from and prevention of disease. 

 

THE NATUROPATH AS A TEACHER:

A cooperative practitioner-patient relationship has essential therapeutic value. My major role is to educate and encourage you to take responsibility for your own health via healthy changes, empowering and motivating you. Teaching with hope, knowledge and understanding, I will support you along the way towards health and wellbeing. 

 

PREVENTION IS THE BEST CURE:

The ultimate goal of any health care system should be prevention of disease. I will aim to accomplish this through education and promotion of life-habits that create good health.

My emphasis is on building health rather than on fighting diseases
